Lifesteal heals you and builds a Blood Ward
The pact takes a larger share of every drop it draws.
5s window; Ward conversion 50% -> 65% of healing
Richer blood, and a Ward that can hold more of it.
6s window; temporary lifesteal 0.50% -> 0.75%; Ward cap 25% -> 40% max HP
Healing you would otherwise waste at full health is kept instead, so opening the Pact at full health is no longer a waste.
7s window; overheal converts to Ward at full strength; Ward cap 40% -> 60% max HP
The Ward erupts. Breaking it in combat detonates it in full; letting the Pact run out gives a weaker blast. The Nova remembers the biggest Ward you built, so a shield chipped down before it breaks still explodes at full force.
8s window; Ward cap 60% -> 75% max HP; Ward detonates on break
Blood drawn after the Ward is full is no longer wasted — it overcharges the Nova instead. It gives no protection; it is pure explosive power.
Overcharge stores up to 1.5x maximum health of pure Nova damage
Press Blood Pact again to rupture the Ward yourself, wherever you are standing. Charge it, walk into the horde, detonate.
Manual detonation at no cooldown and no second use of the ability
The first rupture reforms the Ward once at half its peak charge, giving you a second Nova. Two per activation, no more.
Ward reforms once at 50% of peak charge
